  1. Click the blue download button at the top of this page
  2. You will go to the GitHub releases page
  3. Find the file named fableclip-windows-x64.exe
  4. Click the file name to start the download

🚀 Getting Started

Step 1: Install the Software

  1. Open the downloaded file fableclip-windows-x64.exe
  2. Windows may ask if you trust this app. Click “Yes” or “Run Anyway”
  3. Follow the setup wizard steps
  4. Choose where to install the app (default location works fine)
  5. Click “Finish” when the install completes

Step 2: Open the App

Find fableclip in your Start Menu or desktop shortcut. Double-click to open it.

Step 3: Add Your First Video

  1. Click the “Add Video” button in the top left
  2. Select a video file from your computer
  3. Wait for the video to load (this may take a few seconds for long videos)

Step 4: Create Shorts

  1. Click “Process Video” to start creating shorts
  2. The app will analyze your video and create clips
  3. Each clip appears with a score and explanation
  4. Click any clip to preview it

Step 5: Export Your Shorts

  1. Select the clips you want to keep
  2. Click “Export Selected”
  3. Choose a folder to save your shorts
  4. Your short videos save with captions already added

⚙️ How the Scoring Works

Each short gets a score from 0 to 100. The score tells you how good the clip is for sharing on social media. The app looks at:

A score above 70 means the clip is ready to share. Scores below 50 may need editing.

🔧 Running on Your Own Server

If you want to use fableclip on a server or share it with others:

  1. Open the Settings menu
  2. Click “Server Mode”
  3. Choose a port number (default is 3000)
  4. Click “Start Server”
  5. Other people on your network can access the app through their browser
